I have T today, this afternoon, and I'm really nervous. I have lots to talk about - losing my job, relapsing again, going back into rehab, but most importantly I have to ask her if she'll reduce her rate for me when I'm unemployed or at least let me pay less now, and then pay her back when I'm working again. I'm so scared she'll say no. And I hate talking about money. And I don't want to be a burden on T.

I'm just scared.

splitimage,

I can relate, I've been having money problems also.
Good luck... Remember that you have every right to ask.

Thanks everybody - well it went ok. She offered to drop her fee to $100 for a 45 min session instead of a 50 min session. This is down from $160. So I'm happy - I save $120 / month and only lose 10 min. of therapy. It's still going to be tight, but I can manage it. Now I just have to work on getting stuff sorted out with employment insurance.

I am glad that she was willing to be flexible. I HATE bringing up money stuff, so I understand the anxiety you felt. Therapy is just flippin expensive!!!!!
