Abandonment Issues for Dissociative Trauma Survivors with DID/MPD or Borderline Personality Disorder

By Kathy Broady
http://ezinearticles.com/?Abandonmen...der&id=2299153

~~~~~~~~~
I wanted to share this with you guys - even people who do not have DID.
When we are in therapy, it really is hard to trust our T.
I think this will help others here see why it can be so so difficult for us to trust our T. It also offers some good pointers on healing.
Thanks for this!
I've never known anyone personally who suffers from DID. Only here on PC am I learning about such problems. My heart goes out to you and everyone else who have experienced mistreatment by your elders. It's no wonder why trust issues are such a problem. I mean, I have trust issues just because of minor aloofness or coldness from parents but nothing to the extent that you and others have had to deal with. Thanks for sharing the article.
Thanks for this!
((((((((WePow)))))))) thank you so much for sharing and helping me understand your struggles better, to even understand my own trust issues better too. I have learned SO much from you and the longer I am here and the more you share the more I have respect for you and for the tremendously hard and deep work you are willing to do in your healing, as well as for others like you here who have endured such trauma and are working so hard in their therapy to heal.
Thanks for this!
((((((((((Poetgirl))))))))))))) thank you so much. It is awesome to be on PC and be able to learn from one another. There are so many brave people here on PC. I am the one blown away each time I read posts from others who are also working so hard to claim their mental and emotional health.
Thanks for this!
THANK YOU for posting this, wepow. I needed to read this today. It was a good reminder.
Sometimes, I want to send these articles to T and say "SEE? THIS is why I am how I am". But I bet he already knows.
Thanks for this!
Treehouse, I have actually done this before.....I sent an article to T that I thought supported my behaviors and what I was going through, and he was like "ummmmm, DUH! I already know this!!" I am sure that your T does know too.
