Two days ago, my oldest son had a big tryout for something he's been wanting to do for years. I don't usually get nervous about my kids' stuff, because it's their stuff, not mine. But this one made me nervous, because it was a huge deal, and something my son changed the entire course of his life/education to do.

Yesterday, my T e-mailed me and asked "if you have time and you remember will you e-mail me to let me know how it went?". Which was so sweet and made me laugh inside, because how could I not remember to tell T something??

Anyhow, my son was chosen and we found out yesterday. I e-mailed T before bed to let him know, and didn't ask for a reply, and woke up this morning to find the most excited e-mail from T. It was SO not a typical T e-mail...filled with exclamation points and capital letters

It made me feel so good to have T share my happiness in such a real and genuine way. I mean, he was clearly REALLY excited for my son (and me).

It's so awesome to be able to share the good stuff with T, too. I love him
Thanks for this!
