I think Monday will be a pretty normal day unless you are directly on the coast and have leftover flooding or something. The states of emergencies were to make sure people didn't get hurt if there are problems. The hurricane is weakening, we now only have a 60% chance of tropical storm conditions here on the Chesapeake Bay when it gets here this evening, no chance of hurricane.

Mindfulness is just "standing there" Granite, instead of putting off something that is going to come anyway. If you let it come in its time, it is less than if you resist it and try to hold it back and make it bigger than it actually is in the first place, with all the added worry and anxiety.

I think you will find mindfulness to be one of the most powerful tools in your arsenal against panic, stress and anxiety. The practice of it has significantly improved the quality (and very likely quantity) of my life.

This is is a very very very good thing.

Try this on for size right now perhaps.

"It is what it is. It is what it will be. It is what it should be."

Three little sentences that can transform your life.

sorry Granite and CoY. It looks like NYC and NJ are still going to be out of whack Monday, with the public transportation off track in NYC. I read there's a lot of flooding in NJ and it might not crest 'til tomorrow... I'm not sure though... I didn't read that carefully so everyone ignore that if you know better. And it's just getting to New England. So I guess some people will have to take a day off Monday in some places. That's usually good except if it's t day
