Posted by lastyearisblank. I am just adding a poll.

Just curious if we can get something like this up and running, or if we did, would anyone be interested in participating? I guess it would be sort of like a meta-therapy board, as we all read and post on here anyway. It might just sort of be interesting, as I have seen a lot of chat rooms geared to specific interests on here and we seem to not have one.
Thanks for this!

Yes, it's a good idea; as we get so much feeback from each other on these posts. (some, anyway). Maybe you could get a PhD Psychologist to lead and moderate the group; there would have to be categories, and sub-categories to keep on focus.

I don't really feel comfortable in chats, but I think it would be a great tool for people who do.

I have never participated in chats - have never felt brave enough - but I have noticed that people are posting on threads in real time sometimes and it would therefore seem logical for there to be a chat - so I think it sounds a great idea even if I may be too anxious to use it.

How exactly does a chat room work? What do we need to start one?

If it's going to be an ongoing chat, contact the Chat Coordinator (I'm not sure this position is active right now) or a moderator.

On Tuesdays there has been a new member orientation chat that explains a lot of basic how to here at PC.

Good wishes.
