...And it was awesome! First we talked (well, I wrote and he talked) about Monday's mess and he explained that he had been angry but he'd thought about it and he understands why I hid "it" from him (fear, my default emotion) and that he'll still be there for me.

But I still was non-verbal and I have to talk all day long at work and I can't use up many more sick days, so he hypnotized me to get my throat to relax.

It was the most amazing sensation, even better than the guided imagery! My scalp was tingling! My throat's still sore, but I have words again! My voice is weak and high-pitched, like recovering from laryngitis, but it's far more fluid than when I slowly regain it. There's not nearly as much stuttering.
Thanks for this!

Thank you for sharing this. My T does hypno, but I have been too chicken to ask about it.

I used the little hand signal he gave me to regain the calm feeling in my throat when I started to tense up again and it worked a little! Too cool!

I would love to be hypnotized to be able to recover my lost memory. I didn't know therapists did that - i wonder if I could ask about it. Thanks for sharing this news with us!

Wow. That's awesome! My T doesn't do hypnosis, but I find it fascinating...and scary....Gotta have a lot of trust in someone in order to allow them to hypnotize you. Glad you benefited from it!
