50 minute session = $110

feeling safe in session, the safest you've ever felt = priceless

T and I were just talking about feeling safe this week. I am still weirded out by that feeling, but I agree it is priceless.

I really, really, REALLY want to experience this in therapy. I know it's there, but I'm afraid to let it in.

I keep going though, in the hope that one day I'll turn a corner.

I remember the first time I felt that kind of safety during therapy sessions. It was amazing. But the best part is when you begin to carry that feeling of safety and security around with you between sessions as well!

Conversation with my therapist:

Doc: "You know, for the past few weeks you've seemed very disconnected from your emotions when you're here."
Me: "I'm not disconnected from my emotions. I just don't feel anything when I'm here."
(Pause)
Me: "Doc, why are you banging your head against the arm of your chair?"
Doc: "Because I'm not close enough to a wall."

It's official. I can even make therapists crazy.
