We were talking about how people slow down to look at road crashes etc. I said I felt everyone done that?? T said no, not everyone, but a lot of people who have suffered early trauma tend to more so.

I thought about this some more, I'm always drawn to out of the blue events that appear as news alerts etc, and wonder why my immediate family don't, infact sometimes I feel as if I am just a drama queen but no, theres more to it, on further discussion with T, its natural that I do get attracted to further traumas because a) it puts my own feelings into some context and b) its the sense of something being taken care of that I get as I watch emergency services dealing with catastrophes etc.

I'm glad we had this talk, its always settling to have reasons for ones actions rather then just labels such as "drama queen" etc, of course I asked how do I resolve this so events don't have such an effect on me??? and of course T's reply was as it always is "we continue to talk about it"
Thanks for this!

Neat thing(s) to learn, earthmamma! I'd never thought about who slows down and looks at the crashes or why that might be.
