Hi everyone,

Saw my psychiatrist today, and it went well. He seemed to think that a combo of things - different life stressors, seasonal change, and just my illness in general, are causing this depressive episode. I agree completely.

He thinks I might have SAD...either way, I am definitely affected by seasonal changes. He recommended that I try "light therapy", or whatever you call it. I've only heard positive things, so I think I'll give it a shot.

We are also upping my Lamictal from 150mg a day to 175mg...and we'll slowly increase.

I am glad I finally got to see him, I was really upset that I missed the previous appointment so it's good that stuff is being done to combat this ugly depression.
Thanks for this!

Good to hear it went well. I use those spectrum lights in my lamps in the winter and it seems to help me.

My T wants me to try them too. Can you recommend a brand name (is that allowed?) I'd like one that I could use as a desk lamp, if there is such a thing.
