i know this tv show has been around years now; i'm only just watching it though
i just watched an episode where he meets with his own therapist and is discussing his patients and says something like "if patients could see in my head, they'd run to the hills" i always wonder what is in my T's head ... one tells me; the other just asks questions about me asking questions ........ I wonder if we would head for the hills though if we knew what they truly thought about us? and about what they thought when we were sharing things |

I worked as a social worker in a psychiatric hospital and I did interviews with patients, granted it's not therapy, but I never had negative thoughts about any of them. I worried about them and hoped the best for them.
I don't think they think badly of us. |

Like Roseleigh said, I don't think they think badly of us. T's take care of themselves-like my T told me her patients moods don't effect her-but its a way she takes care of herself. Leaves work at work. She cares for us, wants us to get better, thinks of us is very nurturing (within the bounds of the relationship) but she goes home at the end of the day. Dr Paul Westin on In Treatment, is battleing his own stuff, and our T's do have their own battles. They don't think badly of us. They want to help us.

I love that show In Treatment. I wish I still got the channel that its on. I have rented season 1 though, but that's as far as I've gotten.
I don't think T's think badly of us. Well, my current T doesn't. Old T probably did, but she TOLD me so-- was always saying how frustrated she was with me, how stuck she felt with me, etc. New T says stuff like how she likes us and things like that. |
