this is my mantra. I cut the cord. Whenever I think of ex-T, whenever I miss her or miss having her support, I don't deny that. I validate the parts of me that have those feelings. yes. we miss her. yes, it felt good to be cared for by her. And here were are, not then, but now. And now, again, over and over: I cut the cord. I cut the cord. I needed the cord once and it was there, and I cut the cord. I'm here, on the other side of that severing, and I'm ok. I cut the cord.

it's all that's getting me through.

Sometimes we have to do what your doing to get through the present moment and move on. I know in the past I've had to cut the emotional cord and look at people as if they they were someone I didn't personally know to get through. But, in the end, I was always able to come full circle and recognize them as the person I knew and loved. And...... I still love them.

In time, Zoo, you'll be able to put all your thoughts and feelings in perspective and it won't hurt so bad.

zoo, I'd been wondering how you're doing. Thanks for the update. I know it's hard, but you're progressing. "Cutting the cord" was necessary.

(((zoo))) I love that you are giving yourself the power, and staying firmly in the present! The good memories can stay good memories.
You are driving this rig, and in the back and out of sight but not unknown, the good memories are transporting with you
