Well it's official, my T is starting on a new venture. He and his girlfriend, who happens to be a certified yoga instructor, and another yoga instructor who happens to also be a therapist, are starting combination yoga/cbt classes. He was showing me the pamphlet they have put together yesterday. Kind of cute. The picture on the front shows his girlfriend in a handstand and he is holding her up by her ankle. I had to razz him about dragging his girlfriend about by the ankles. Anyway, he said they already have several people enrolled so he is excited about the class. It's an interesting concept. T is very much into integrating meditation and exercise into therapy (he hasn't convinced me yet; I'm stubborn that way).

He used to do some form of martial arts a few years back and was quite good at it I think, but he says he's gotten too old and has lost the speed to do that anymore. A year or so ago, he got into yoga with his girlfriend. He actually hates doing it, but really likes how he feels afterwards. This class seems to be a natural off-shoot of both his and his girlfriend's interests. He's also into biking. What next? Therapy while doing yoga on a bicycle? (Can you tell how our conversation digressed? I love giving him a hard time.)

Oooohhhh! Therapy on a bike! I'm IN! I get totally obsessed with my exercise bike when I'm stressed.

Except he doesn't ride an exercise bicycle, he actually rides 15 - 30 miles a day. Now, that could be a really humorous picture though if you encountered T and his class yogaing down the road.

Mountain bikes. Ride up the mountain and do yoga on the mountain top and then need therapy when you get back down, exhausted.

Now there's a thought. (Would anybody actually sign up for that kind of physical punishment? I wouldn't. I'm much too lazy.)
