this is the third time this week, on this one forum, where I have seen a comment like this >> I wrote a long reply to this, and I'm not sure where it went

this has happened to me too, and I have a feeling that the system times out after a while, if you are just typing away and not changing screens.
>> Probably best to open a WORD document, or an email, write your post, as long as you want, and then copy it and go back into PC forum and paste it in.

this may get deleted, since it's not strictly speaking T-related, but I just thought I would put it here so that those affected could read it

hugs to all
Thanks for this!

There was a big delay because my husband came into my office and he reads stuff over my shoulder, so I immediately switched screens. But, I went back and finished and it *seemed* like it had posted. Thanks for the information!

Maybe I just took too long to type it. I was deleting a smiley when my post vanished.

good advice! I've given it before to others who have lost long posts; and yet still I keep forgetting to do it myself

Do you check the "remember me" box when you log in? If not the system will forget you ASAP .
