does anyone else fear that their T reads this board and specualtes that its you writing it? there's so many things i've wanted to post asking, stating, looking for feedback but horrified that T reads this and will knows its me!
This is not my fear. (If anyone is going to recognise me, please let it be my T!) My fear is that someone else might recognise me: a friend, an enemy, a workmate, a family member.

How do people feel about that?

Yup. I would rather have T find me on here than a friend or my family. My family doesn't know I am in T! I just can't bring myself to tell them.

That petrifies me, Can'tExplain!!! I feel like I lead a double life!! Some of my friends know I'm in therapy and have these weird issues, but there's a whole group of people who don't know. What if they, or relatives, would guess it's me? Even if I get to know someone here, I don't like to give out my first name or say where I'm from. What if someone KNOWS me?
Once, my email address and my real name showed up in a PM to someone here!!! It must have been a fluke; I never got an answer from PC as to why that happened. I was okay with that person knowing and keeping it confidential, but it's kind of scary anyway. So I totally agree with you! I don't care if my T would find me here. She's SAFE but others may not be.

I don't want ANYONE to find me here, ever ever ever. BTW, do the posts disappear after a while?
Thanks for this!

Sometimes. I had a minor panic attack when someone from my city pm'ed me. LOL. But, I've thought about it and decided that I'm ok if someone recognizes me.

There are Sex and Gender posts from 2007.

I think you'd better assume that anything you write here is carved in stone.

Someone had their threads erased so I know it's possible. You could PM an administrator of PC and ask.

I'm surprised more people are posting that they are afraid their T reads here than people they may KNOW in RL!
Thanks for this!

I totally agree. I don't care if my T saw my posts, he'd likely be bored as I told him 99% already. My family on the other hand doesn't know anything close.

Agree, that would be worse.
It's THE reason I'm here not on a German board.
The chances, that somebody here would be someone I know in RL, are rather slim (like winning a lottery which I've never have).

Also I pretty sure nobody in my life knows I'm messed up. So I am not afraid to be open here.
Thanks for this!

I don't worry about this because everyone I know is definitely more sane than I am. They have no need.

That would really worry me too. Only PC and T know I'm in therapy and I'm different at work and home, it's like I have a secret identity

I don't worry about it. If the fact I am having the experience of being in therapy helps someone else, then so be it. I do not go out of my way to tell people, but if it comes up, I tell it.

I would be very scared if my husband found my posts on here and my family right now. Sadly i hate to be so secretive with my issues, however i have to be safe.

I am a bit exhibitionistic so I really HOPE everyone is trying to find out who I am and whether it is really me and that there are crowds of people with theories about the identity of that particular poster.....

Isn't that sick?

I guess it takes all kinds! Excuse me but I have to go home and lounge about in my underwear in front of the window...
