hi i been down and out this week because i was suppose to see my t march 2 and march 1st when i called to confirm they said i wasnt on the schedule so i told them to check again they explained to me that their was an error, it was my fault though i shouldnt have made the appt by phone i usually do it in person, this is not the first time, in the yr i been their it happened twice.

it sucks the last time i saw her was the 23 of feb she cancelled the 16 of feb, so now i dont see her till the 8th of march at 4 pm

heres the thing we started discussing sensitive issues and had done some homework so my emotions are all over the place. also i have nitemares every nite for the past 3 wks brief sometimes long. my husband says i woke up screaming the other nite.

so now i feel angry i know its not my t fault but i feel i should just go on the 8th and just not talk because im angry at her but i dont know why.

oppinions please

Let your T know just how horrible and painful the mix-up was. I finally just let it out with my T and it helped.

call your t & let her know about the mix up...& see if she can squeeze you in someplace...since it was not your fault hopefully she will be able to come up with a replacement time that will work for you

I'm sorry this happened!! It's surely hard to live, especially when you're going through a rough time!

I'm not sure that if you go in there not talking on the 8th will be very helpful for you... I think you probably need this time to keep working on the sensitive issue you were in (or process the feelings you have right now).

Also, as others posters suggested, why not call and try to have another appointment for the beginning of the week?

I'm sorry--its so hard to wait, and then not be able to go.
I agree with everyone, can you put a call into T and see if you can get a earlier appointment time? Like don't talk to the receptionist, talk to T and ask T directly.

I agree about calling for an earlier time if that will work for you.

Just want to echo that I think it is totally appropriate and warranted that you call your T and see if you can get in sooner. I go three times a week and even THAT feels like an eternity between sessions so I can't imagine sitting with all those emotions for as long as you are.
