(trigger warning for mention of CSA - sorry folks)

Can anyone recommend one or more good titles related to CSA and subsequent adult psychopathology? Can include books written for the profession, not necessarily for the public.

many thanks

Hello again - here are some more:
On the Threshold of Hope, Breathe, Hiding From Love,
In The Voice of a Child, Waking the Tiger, The River of Forgetting, Learning To Trust Again, The Body Remembers, Healing Sex, Beauty For Ashes, Trying To Get Some Dignity, The Journey From Abandonment To Healing, She Who Was Lost Is Remembered, anything by Staci Haines, The Sexual Healing Journey, Sexual Anorexia, Raising Your Sexual Self-Esteem, The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Workbook, When The Piano Stops, Stolen Innocence, Released From Shame, anything by Dave Pelzer, The Wounded Woman, many books by Joyce Meyer, Incest and Sexuality, many books by John Bradshaw, Invisible Heroes
*i bought many of these books on Amazon for under $5.00
I hope this is helpful - your library may carry some of these.
I started out with The Courage To Heal because it also has a separate workbook. Some of the books I listed have Christian/God themes.
Thanks for this!

butterfly has many good choices (we have twin bookcases!) if I were going to choose just one book, it would be this one, it blew me away with how much it KNEW about how it felt.
Thanks for this!

I agree with The Courage to Heal.. I am almost done reading it.. it took me a week to go through it, very worth the time, very imformative. I borrowed it from T and I am planning on hanging on to it for a while to reference it.. Also, there is a workbook that goes with it.. I have it, but have not started working through it yet.

The best book I've ever read on the subject was the novel A Red Heart of Memories, by Nina Kiriki Hoffman:

I've started reading this and it seems pretty OK. I keep having to stop though because I get so overwhelmed. The Wounded Heart.

My biggest qualm is that it is kind of God-focused, but I think there's useful stuff in there too. I think there's an accompanying workbook as well.

I suggest:

It has client stories that will explain reactions and techniques to use immediately to help deal with negative thoughts and feelings
