Hello
How profitable do you think it would be for someone to get
therapy simply because they have bipolar disorder?

For me, I didn't go to therapy because of my diagnose, but because my life was a mess probably due to the illness. I don't have therapy right now, but still have the same diagnoses.
Take care

I think it would be beneficial. Bipolar is never just "simple".

My mother has bipolar disorder and the right kind of therapy ended up helping her significantly.

She ended up with a cognitive behavioural therapist and that made all the difference in the world.

I think it would depend on the person and what they wanted from it and how hard they worked, etc., just like for any other person. As earthmamma said, it's never "simple".

I think that it would be very beneficial. I'm not asking you these questions for you to answer them here (unless you want to) but how are your 1) relationships? 2) Ability to express your feelings? 3) Ability to communicate with others? 4) Your self worth? 5) Your boundaries? 6) Ability to live in the moment? 7) Any addictions? 8) Ability to meet your needs? 9) How is your problem solving in life? 10) Do you feel empowered in your life? 11) Do you think that you are emotionally mature? 12) Are you attached to others in a healthy way?

These are all things that you can work on in therapy.
