I went to one once and it wasn't a good experience but I'm sure it would be different for you you could always give it a go? Drop ins are good if you need someone on the day

I've never heard of them as existing where I am; could be worth checking out though

I've never heard of them either, but I would like to give encouragement to call before you go. I know you said you are having the trouble getting the courage to phone :: but if you get nervous and don't like what they say and feel pressured you can always just hang up. That's the beauty of phone calls

How about drive through counseling? That's the ticket.
Now that's an idea worth pursuing. Think they do that in California

Dont have drop in counseling where I live either.
I cant see how it would work. Does anyone have success with
phone in counseling? I have been tempted but it's so expensive
and would wonder if I'm speaking with a real therapist.

It might be good for crisis intervention.

Building a relationship with a T takes a long time and is critical for my progress, so I don't know if I could benefit much from something like a drop-in.

A drop-in counseling session can provide you with a safe space for processing and problem-solving, as well as receiving useful information, resources and referrals. The drop-in system is not designed to provide ongoing counseling or to address chronic concerns. Sessions last 20-30 minutes in length and are designed to provide immediate help and resources.
