Just needed to whine to some folks who could relate...

The past few weeks have been pretty hellish. Severe depression. Lots of going back and forth with my pdoc and two consulting pdocs about treatment strategies and arriving at a new diagnosis (bipolar II). Tomorrow morning I meet with my pdoc and I'd say that there is about a 50% chance that he is going to "fire" me because we disagree about what strategy to try next (if this happens, I can see one of the consultants, but I would like to stay with the original pdoc if I can).

And THIS is the week T goes on a tropical vacation?! Argh!

I have a great support system and I usually manage just fine when she is gone. But sometimes the only person who will do is T, you know?

I will cope, but I just needed to complain a little. I scheduled a mani/pedi during my normal therapy time tomorrow. I figured I will take care of myself in another way.

Sigh,
EJ

They always pick the wrong times to be away. I hope the mani/pedi helps. It certainly can't hurt!

My T is away next week. I fully expect to have some kind of crisis.

As I anticipated, pdoc won't work with me any more. It is a messed up situation...we both agree I need a med that he is unwilling to rx. I am transfering to a trusted colleague of his (that I have met with and like) but it still feels bad.

Really, T? THIS is the week you take a vacation!!???? Grr!
