As you know,if you have read recent past threads my anxiety has been extremely high. Told pdoc monday about the anxiety but he decided not to change anything just yet mostly because i wasnt totally honest with him. He mentioned hospitalization at my visit but didnt push it I wonder if maybe partial would be good. I really dont want inpatient but partial might be ok. Should I talk to him bout it? Or wait and see? It really just keeps getting worse. I wish he would just read this and know it was me. But i know he has better things to do.

I am sorry things are so tough right now. I guess it can be hard to talk about how you are feeling because of those actual feelings of anxiety - I know these can feel so horrible.

I wonder if you could write to your pdoc and tell him how you are feeling n greater detail?

Heres what I wrote to pdoc...

Dr. A,

I know I should have brought this up at my appointment but I hate that it is happening. Now I figure I better take care of it before it gets worse...my anxiety that is. It has been quickly rising in intensity the last 2 weeks. I guess Im not sure what else we can do. I am taking the buspar and it is not doing much. What else can we do? Maybe I just need to wait it out?
I do not know what else to do.

Thanks,
Dos3512

What do you think?

He should respond, but how quickly is the issue. FWIW Buspar did nothing for my anxiety, although it did give me some crazy dreams.

How did you send this to him? Email?

Perhaps you could set a time frame for response, after which, if you haven't heard anything, you could call?

You could always simply read what you wrote here. Sometimes that is easier.

Hi,
Sorry things are so so hard right now. I'm glad you contacted your doctor to ask what else could be done. I've never been in the hospital, partial or inpatient, but have good things about some partial programs. Especially if insurance can pay for it, it might be worth a try.
Thanks for this!

You aren't bothering us Dos. It's a good note. Partial can be really helpful, I highly recommend it if things are out of control. Plus you will get daily med evals...it is the quickest way to get things under control sometimes.
