Yep. Talk to H all the time. He's knows peeps by name (esp. stopdog, since I think she is him in disguise).

Mentioned it to T, but she doesn't particularly like it because she doesn't "understand it". She asked me why I want to talk to "strangers" online. So I don't bring it up much. If someone has told me something noteworthy on here, I refer to it as "something a friend told me".

I've mentioned things in passing to others at work or friends; I usually say I participate in a "therapy forum".

Only to my wife and my T. I've mentioned Chopin and Hankster and Stopdog and Squiggle and Lola and maybe a few others.

Yes. I told T about PC in the past. She claimed she was gonna come take a look, but I don't know if she ever did cause she never mentioned it. I don't think she's a total fan as I told her I tend to get easily triggered by posts, but she is not going to tell me to stay away or anything. I don't tell H about PC.

I mentioned briefly near the beginning of therapy that I was looking at psychology blogs. My T was worried because there are so many bizarre ones out there, and he actually told me about the psychology today web site (which eventually lead me here). A few months ago, I finally mentioned I was visiting 'a psychology forum,' and finally told him about one person on here. Other than that, when there's something I want to talk about from here, I just say a friend mentioned whatever it was.

My T knows about it. I'm not sure he understands exactly what it is. I have given him a few of my posts from here.

I have given him post from here and as far as partner is concerned you are my friends as I refer to most of you daily... Crazy huh? T even will ask how Chopin is for example... Lol I love my T , but I'll never tell him!

I don't tell my t that i come here, because i don't think she'd approve. when I journal, i have a tendency to feel worse, and i think she'd assume the same of here... which is not the case

No I never talk about it to anyone. Except in the beginning of therapy I asked to make sure my t doesn't read any places where people post about therapy.

I've mentioned it to one person, the one RL person I talk to about my emotional life, but only in terms of "I have joined an online forum where I can talk a little about these issues... yes it's in English... yes, people are quite supportive". I don't think he'd be interested in hearing any details. H doesn't know and wouldn't be interested, and I haven't mentioned it to T either, though I might do that, perhaps.

No. I really never do. It isn't something that is really "real life" for me (please don't be offended by that) so it doesn't really have reason to come up for me I guess. PC is hard to define as to what part it plays for me. Hobby maybe? Interesting reading material? I don't know. Whatever it is, it stays pretty much confined to my time on it at the computer. I enjoy it and learn from it kind of like I do reading a good book or writing in a journal or something like that I guess. I like and care for the people here but differently than I do real world family and friends because real world friends and famiily don't have an on/off button; the real world is much more cumbersome.

H knows, and my kids kind of know (but are really not interested). I have sat down to dinner with H and said things like "Oh, Lola's stray had her puppies, so cute". (Well, and maybe I said "can we drive across the country to get one"...lol.) He has forums he likes to visit as well and he brings up those people on occasion. Quite often we are sitting next to each other on the couch with our respective laptops open. One of us will chuckle at something and the other will ask "what's so funny". He doesn't usually get therapy jokes though.

I mentioned "an online group" to T once, but she did not ask any questions so I did not provide any further details. I will sometimes mention it to a good friend, but I never use screen names. I don't even tell her which site it is.

I mentioned PC to T before and she said it sounded interesting. I don't think she would come here though. A few other times I have referred to advice I got from the forum I frequent and what her opinion was on it. Many times she agreed with what PC people suggested I do, so she doesn't mind my coming here.

My PC account was the reason I had to go see my old T. My mom didn't approve of this site and thought I was a freak so she took me to a T.... Never really liked talking about it because I was always so upset since my mom made me leave PC. But my YT thought it was good that I went to the site if helped me cope with my emotions.

I've mentioned certain people here to close friends irk. And even suggested a friend to join when she wasn't doing good.

I've been involved in a couple of online forums for years and my friends and family know. Frankly, most of my friends that I spend time with are people I initially met online in a forum. My family and other friends mostly get it now, so this forum is no surprise nor is it a secret.

Sometimes I'll say "someone I know said..." if I'm talking to someone who doesn't know about the forum and I don't feel like taking the time to explain.

I mention things from here to T once in a while and we talk about it. One thing he's always reminding me is that we're a self-selected group and not a representative sample, so we can't necessarily assume that everything we talk about here is universal.
