Since this is a psychotherapy forum, I had better make this therapy related.

When I began here, I chose a name which reflected my state of mind at the time. No doubt, I was/have been lost in termination for, literally, YEARS.

Now, I am different. After five years, I have grown, with the help of my current T.

I realize I am no longer lost in THAT experience and even though I still have rough moments, like this past week, my old experience (or my childhood) doesn't define me or my relationship with this T.

So. I am considering changing my name...One of the names I considered was, Lost in DE-termination or just changing it completely like others here.

I need to ask a quick question....If I want to change, can I edit it or do I have to begin a new account?

Thank you.

From the FAQ

Quote:
Members can change their username once and only once with no explanation or special permission needed. Simply send a private message (PM) to one of the site's administrators. Member names have to conform to our community guidelines, be between 4 and 19 characters in length, and not already taken by an existing user. We allow only one username change per individual.
Hope this helps.

See, I'd say get rid of the "Lost" part. Do you really still feel lost?

How about . . . .

wait for it . . . .

I hope that the whole termination thread was not experienced by you as minimizing your progress in this respect. If that happened and I was responsible, please accept my apologies,

Funny, you mentioned....it's why I am considering changing my entire name.

I do still feel lost, at times. Just not lost in the experience.

I do want to challenge myself to come up with a really cool....redemptive....name.

No, MCL....not at all.

I have been considering changing my name for quite some time. It has NOTHING to do with the termination thread.

Wow. When I read this, I thought of the Terminator movie. What's really interesting is I had this vision of someone who is really STRONG and determined.

Thanks, Farmergirl.
