Ahh!!
My therapist wants to me tape the new Law and Order SVU tonight because it's about a multiple. I have MPD... And she won't be able to see it tonight because she'll be out of town tonight... So she asked us to tape it and bring it in because she has a TV/VCR at her office and we'll be able to snuggle up and watch it with her!!!
I so love my T TV time with T

Oh, what fun! I'd be a little shy though during the watching with her though in case I'd say or do something I didn't mean to.

I'm not sure you want to watch it. It wasn't presented in a very helpful manner.

**spoiler of TV show**
I'm not sure if she was able to watch it or not. I video taped it either way.
It was very frustrating to watch - once again, psycho multiple/faker of the disorder. Not sure if she'll want us to watch it together now or not!
The only show I've seen it nicely portrayed was a random ER episode I tapped into once that showed a guy with MPD who had a little boy alter come out while being treated, and the doctor treated him very gently and sweetly just like a little boy should be treated!
Very frustrated! We'll see what T says.

Maybe I'm a bit cynical, and haven't seen it but I don't think any TV shows do a good job of portraying any illness or hospital system, especially when it comes to psychiatric disorders which contributes to the stigma of it. They tend to exaggerate the symptoms and paint the person as a psychopathic killer or something. Granted, these people may exist but I am sure there aren't very many.
Sure, watch it for entertainment value, but don't take the medical bits on it too seriously.
