A national survey of 250 female and 250 male clinical and counseling psychologists (return rate was 58%) showed that over two thirds (69.93%) of the women and one third (32.85%) of the men had experienced some form of physical or sexual abuse.

that doesn't surprise me either.
I often wonder if very many clients even think of the T.s they see and ponder what horrific things may have happened in their childhoods..... I think- how strong and hard working many of them were/are, to get where they are today and even take that healing and use it to work with others to help others heal as well. ![]() fins

That's one of the main reasons they're draw to that type of work to try to help others, and purge their own demons.

I've tackled my T on this and she says she was never abused.

We don't call pyschologists therapist over here. But what is the survey trying to say? Who commissioned the survey?
