I just realized that Christmas and New Year's are on TUESDAYS!! My T hasn't brought it up yet. I don't know if she'll be able to schedule me on Wednesdays or not. What about the rest of you Tuesday people?

I went to every other week last month. But for this month, we scheduled 12/11 and 12/18 cuz of xmas, after that I am planning on being done, although I haven't told her this yet. Well that's not entirely true. I've been TRYING to be done since early October but she keeps talking me out of it. Apparently the dear lady needs a reminder that it is my decision. I don't mean that as sarcastically as it sounds, she is dear to me, because she has been such a humongous help to me. But done is done eh? And I is done.

Yes, I will be missing two weeks.

But since my therapist was sick for much of December and January, I'm trying to put this up-coming break into perspective. Right now it's hard since I'm feeling quite lousy.

I will be missing about 7 weeks what with the therapist having broken a promise, holidays, her vacation and a conflict for me.

Does it bother you at all? Just wondering.

Well, I never put much faith in her promises to begin with, so when she broke one and it meant I did not go this week, it was not a big deal. I assume things will pretty much be the same in a few weeks as they are now so it does not really bother me that much. In some ways it saves me a lot of frustration and rage.

My t is off for almost two weeks at Christmas. My appts are usually Monday and Thursday, so I'll end up going two and a half weeks without seeing him.
Thanks for this!

My T is Jewish so he's not taking much time off. He said we would "figure it out" so I didn't miss a week.

My clients on Monday will miss a week. Clients on Tues will miss two weeks, possibly 3 if I take a week off.
I miss 2 Fri and 2 Tues appts with my T. 17 days.
Thanks for this!

Its a shame...I just figured out that unless my T shuts down for the week...as a Thursday person I won't miss a week... if we had the same T I would be more than glad to give a Tuesday person my Thursday appt.

No T for a week = money.

I'm a Monday appointment person, so I will probably only miss Christmas Eve on the 24th, but that is only because my mom will be staying with me that week. I don't want to go to T while she's here.

My T tends to work even on holidays. I doubt he'll work Christmas day, but I bet he's working New Year's day.
Thanks for this!

I don't have a standing appointment, but my last appt and next appt are Tuesdays. T figured it out and said "I'd like to see you again before Christmas." I only go every two weeks, but I like it when t says she wants to get me in. But after my next appt I will probably have to wait until 2013.

Another Tuesday person here. I don't know yet and I'm expecting T to tell me this week whether we can reschedule. I'm guessing I'll miss at least one week though sadly.

I see T on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I will only miss two weeks - I'll see him on 20/12 and then again on 8/1. I was very pleased that he'll only take a minimum holiday and that he's working on the 20th.
Thanks for this!

. . . and this is why I am so glad I'm not tied to a set schedule with my T. We set appointments up as we go along to meet both of our schedules and I almost never have to miss a week because we can't find a mutually convenient time for both of us.
Thanks for this!

I see T on Tuesdays too, and will miss two weeks. It sucks that this is always a difficult time of year. It would be nice to have some support.

Yep, missing two weeks too. My T will have that time as holiday as well, so I can't reschedule on another day. She is having 6 weeks off in the spring so its good practice for that I suppose!

I'm also one who sets appointments with my T as we go. Although I do have a preferred time and day, we are both flexible if we can be. I'm still missing two weeks because she'll be away. I don't know about everyone else, but this is at a really difficult time for me, so it's going to be rough.

Though I know others are out there are already surviving a longer break than I have to get through, and I've got you in mind!

My schedule is pretty close to yours Apt. I'm 20/12 and 7/01

Not looking forwards to it!

Maybe us Tuesday people could have a support thread over the holiday period to boost each other on? I could use it too at the moment and it's always reassuring to know others are dealing with the same.
Thanks for this!

I will be missing almost four weeks myself if my T comes back to work on New Year's Eve. Then I will be missing three. Its ok. I have gone this long without seeing him before. Same thing happened around Thanksgiving week.
