I have an at risk teen that has recently been visiting with a therapist. Treatment has only been for a couple of months. I am amazed to see a difference in such a short period of time. I feel fortunate to have found a therapist that my teen can connect with.

Therapy is not a new concept to me. I have never followed through with my own treatment because I never found a therapist that I could connect with. I’ve only visited with the therapist briefly to touch base with my teens’ treatment.

I have followed through with the advise the therapist recommended. I must say that, I am amazed to see the importance of communication. I personally have not had a session but, words of encouragement and advise is remarkable.

I have a very low profile and find it very difficult to seek out help or advise for anything. After very brief visits I feel very comfortable with the therapist. I think that I am ready to break out of the eggshell and seek help for myself.

I didn’t think that I would ever find a therapist that I can feel comfortable communicating with. There are thousands of therapists, but not may of them are gifted like this one.

Yes, I am fortunate to have found a therapist that I can connect with.

That's good to hear. You can certainly trust that T to give you a good referral for your own therapy, when you're ready! TC

hey. i can relate. many years of therapy... many different therapists... most of them were lovely and really tried to help - i believe that... but i still couldn't relate to them / connect with them. it can be really hard to find someone who is a good match, who we can connect with. i'm really pleased for you that you have managed to find someone :-)
