Watched a film one evening & had the weirdest dream that night. Dreamt hubby was half dressed & T was in my house or we hers and I she walked in on hubby & immediately walked out saying "that's more then enough!"

Then she tells me that she has to tell me something, she tells me she is retiring. The feeling of desperation and Powerlessness in the dream because I know T holds her boundaries gently but firmly & there is no way I felt I could get her to change her mind. In the dream she adds that we have 2 yrs left to work toward it.

When I told T about the film & dream she said "it's seems there's a feeling of there being to much for me but not enough for you".

Yes that was a good way of describing how I felt. She then said "I have no plans to retire in the next 2 yrs, or even 5.

In that moment I needed that reassurance as the dream still had a hold on me. She asked if I was aware of the effect that part of the film had on me at the time? I said no. She said it obviously was unconscious at the time but came out in the dream. This is why I like dreams.
Thanks for this!

I've also shared my dreams about T WITH T and it's nice. I also like the messages dreams seem to hold for me

I'm sure this is important but I'm afraid I don't understand. Could you explain?

CE, it's the feeling of imbalance that existed between myself & my mother playing itself out.
Thanks for this!

I think it is nice that your T continued and told you about her plans for retirement, reassured you when she could have easily stopped with the interpretation which was wonderful in itself.
