I feel kinda funny asking this but I think my T rode past my house on a Harley the other weekend. I was out the front reading and smoking when a guy on aHarley rode by but instead of keeping going up the road he turned around and rode past again slowed and looked at me. I couldn't see his face because of helmet and sunglasses but he has a really distinctive ginger and grey beard.
I really want to know if was him but I don't want to ask in case he brings up the fact that I've driven past his house several times. A few times just to see if I could see him and other times on legitimate business. I'm dreading asking him because of the resulting conversation and the embarrassment I'll suffer as I'm 45 and it makes me feel like a schoolgirl with a crush. I've also told him I want to have sex with him but I was coming down from a manic episode at the time but I don't think he buys that explanation. I forgot to say that he doesn't have my current address on record, just the suburb. It,s only small andmy house one of the first few on the main road. AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!! |

You need to ask so that it doesn't lead to future speculation on your part. It doesn't have to be an accusation, it can be just inquisitive. Ie. hey , you don't happen to drive a harley do ya ? Funny thing i could have swore i saw you riding it from my porch on ....
I would want to ease my mind that some weirdo int casing my house. Good luck! |

I don't believe in keeping secrets from your T- only when you're honest with him/her it can really work (otherwise why bother? So many things I could do with the money instead...)
So yes I also think you should bring this up in therapy- could have been him driving by, seeing you and turning to see it's really you (but I don't understand why he wouldn't have stopped and say hi) or it could have been anyone else (that I think it's more likely) but you can never know unless you'll ask. Plus it's pretty common for a client to develop 'T crushes'- T should be use to that and deal with it accordingly (and professionally)- no reason to feel ashamed (easier said than done, I know). |

Just ask casually.. Say, oh hey.. I saw somebody that look like your drive past my house the other day, was it you. Totally normal. T actually asked me the samething one day. My kids peditrcians office is right across the parking lot from T, so he looked out his window and saw me and then asked me aboutit. It reall is a normal part of any other relationship.

Do you know for sure your T has a motorcycle?
Another way to approach would be, that some guy on a motorcycle drove by your house several times and it freaked you out cause it sort of looked like him. |

Thanks for your replies. I'll try asking next week when I see him.
Wotcha: No I don't know if he has a bike but I'm just going on the beard as my T's beard is a distinctive ginger and grey. It's either him or a member of the Rebels (a local gang) that I cut off in traffic the other week and I'm a marked woman (I doubt this as he wasn't wearing a jacket) |
