My therapy session today was one of the best I have had. I have been feeling really exhausted this week battling my OCD, often not succeeding, and I guess I also heaped a huge amount of pressure and expectations onto my shoulders and ultimately I felt really low. Because of some really happy news in my life (my wedding day has been confirmed so we can start the ball rolling now :-) ) everyone expects me to be on top of the world (which I am) but it made it impossible this week for me to share any of the pain, sadness and anxiety that I was feeling courtesy of the OCD. However I was able to release all that pent-up emotion in the safety of the therapy room and my therapist, as always, was wonderful. He helped me through it all, and has helped me to refocus on all the gains I have made. I feel so much more hopeful and happy.

That hour is a lifesaver in my week, and I am so very grateful for it, and for having such a caring and wise therapist.

I am feeling my usual post-therapy blues, but at the same time I feel good, and hope that this evening will be happy and peaceful.

It sounds like a very wonderful session! I love when therapy feels this way. I told my T not long ago that sometimes I feel like I come in one person, and leave another.
Thanks for this!
