Following on from the 'How we dress for therapy' thread, I'm wondering how does your T dress? Super-smart? Hippie? Maths teacher trying to relax?

My T is smart-casual - I'd say he dresses comfortably without looking too informal. A typical outfit would be jeans and a checked shirt or a v-neck sweater. His room is a no-shoe zone, and his socks are all boring. He owns beige socks, which are just such a therapist thing to own.

Now you go!

Like she raided her grandpa's wardrobe.

business casual. Usually skirt or slacks and a nice top or sweater.

Hi Tiny, good to see you

There was a thread about this a while ago that you may find interesting:

http://forums.psychcentral.com/psych...yle-dress.html

and my answer is: My T is quite 'alternative' in her dress which suits me really well as i am the same really. It's one of the things that helped me warm to her i think.

Nice casual. Today she wore jeans and a nice top. Generally put together well and looks nice.

Very neutral clothing. Jeans or chinos (I think), and a shirt or sweater. And indoor sandals (hard slippers) as his office is also a no-outdoor-shoes room; he often wears the same brand of socks (plain, black, with a discreet decoration) as my H, which felt kind of weird the first time I noticed it - not sure why, actually.

Casual in earth tones...I think most Ts wear these colors to make them seem warm and accepting.

Oops, didn't realise this had been covered recently! Nice to do it again, though.

My T wears a lot of blue. I have no idea what that signifies.
Thanks for this!

My t wears dresses and sometimes she forgets and has her legs sprawled out so I can see her underwear
She always dresses very smart and has a jewellery collection that I would just die for.
She wears mostly dark clothes, blacks, navy, purples, and sometimes turquoise.
When I am older I would love her wardrobe

According to 'Chromotherapy', blue represents the Throat chakra, which is linked to Physical and spiritual communication. The throat, ears, mouth, hands play important roles in this colour.

Sounds perfect for a T

My T always dresses smart.

Trousers with a blouse and cardigan and sometimes a scarf around her neck.

Business casual I guess. Pretty much like all the male teachers I work with.

Slacks/pants with button up shirt. I've never seen him in jeans. I saw him once outside of therapy, but I can't remember what he was wearing. He did get into a really junk filled car and sped away with speed -LOL

More businessy than I do I think. I don't usually notice what she is wearing.
Of course, I could not tell you what I was wearing yesterday other than a guess of what I would usually be wearing - but I don't remember specifics.

My T always wear solid colors. No prints, no florals. I was going to ask her someday if that means anything. Always wears sandals - we live in Florida. Always has a nice pedicure. Always wear cropped pants. Usually black, brown, tan colors. Never saw her in a bright yellow or orange color. She once mentioned to me that I look nice in pink. Wonders if she ever wears those colors?

My T wears business to business casual clothes, always dress pants. I have never seen her wear a skirt or dress in the 1.5 yrs I’ve been seeing her. Sometimes she has a jacket or blazer on over a top…sometimes a cardigan…sometimes just a top…she likes to wear decorative scarves a lot, I have noticed. Other than that, she’s not much for accessories, jewelry, etc. She’s an okay dresser, I’d say…. I only saw her wear jeans once when I encountered her at an event outside of the office. She wears all kinds of colors and does not stick to a specific scheme. She works in a counseling group, and I am certain that they are required to dress business or business casual, as I have never seen any of the other Ts in jeans or sneakers.

Business casual stuff, and not anything that is too noticeable in one way or another. She is always neatly dressed, but her office is a huge mess! Sometimes I don't mind, because it feels homey, and like she doesn't really have anything to hide. Other times, I'm thinking to myself, "Dude, time to vacuum."

Like a college professor, which he is for the other half of his time when he's not seeing clients. Casual slacks, never jeans or dress pants. Usually a shirt and tie with a sweater over it. Comfortable. I like it, but I guess his wife doesn't. He told me once that she asked him if he could at least bring his wardrobe into the 21st century.

T wears dress pants, a shirt and tie, dress shoes, and sometimes a sweater over his shirt. He has little color sense, so his tie and shirt combinations can be pretty funny.

I get confused because sometimes my T dresses like cute and innocent and then another day she looks like she's going to a club.

My T always looks nice but I couldn't tell you what she wears... I know its always slacks and its very neutral...nothing that sticks out but I think those who do that do it on purpose so as not to distract the client... from the purse she carries and the car she drives... I would guess she's more into jewlry and assessories when not in the office.

My T had bare feet once. It was very distracting as I kept thinking he needed to file his toenails a bit.
Thanks for this!
