It's been 7 days without lithium abilify Zoloft my pdoc told me to stop lithium last week cold turkey because of heart palpitations and I had run out of Zoloft (my fault) and pdocs nurse told me I couldn't take abilify alone. The problem was my pdoc went on vacation and I couldn't get my meds filled and I been having bad withdrawals I complained to the nurse if I didn't get my meds by tomorrow I would go to Er. And 15 min later she called and my meds will be ready tomorrow topamax is the new pill so I have to meet with crisis tomorrow to see if I'm stable to take them

I do think we will all experience this more, with time, with health reforms, etc. Hang in there, I know it's not easy! I also believe new and alternative treatments are on the horizon, and while some of them might be useless, hopefully and I think that--some will be beneficial. In the end, we must manage as best we can. Have had lots of diagnoses, like you, and I know it's tough. wishing you the very best!

I understand. I had to go cold turkey off all my meds to a conflict with my blood clot meds. Can't go back on them til I get rid of the blood clot and it's been 4 months so far. My depression is really bad. Glad you are getting meds today. Hope you get better soon.

That happened to me before too and I just went to the ER. They refilled my scripts no problem, but I was terribly worried they wouldn't. Needless to say, I left my Pdoc's secretary a nasty voicemail about leaving me without meds over a long weekend. The one and only time I've ever done that but I think it was warranted given the type of withdrawal experiences (or discontinuation syndrome as they like to call it) you can go through with stopping meds abruptly.

I agree. You should tell her. Either call and leave a message or tell her when she gets back. I'm the quiet type of patient who doesn't complain, but seriously, it was the best thing I did.
