So if you read my other recent post I was in crisis for not having meds now I started topamax along with my abilify and Zoloft and topomax is kick icing my rear it totataly makes me dopy at 50 mg twice a day any way my h is a bit disabled and Ali lazy and my mil is alot lazy and I get stuck taking care of them and the house including all meals my h tells me well only take one pill at night so you could do all the housework and feed us or do all the work before taking your pills mind you I'm still suffering from withdrawals I'm sticking to my boundaries and telling him that is very inconsiderate but it's still hurtful and when I yell he calls me manic and violent and actually I'm a bit depressed he even wanted me to cancel my crisis appt next week because he has a toe appt of course I won't but I'm in beg right now I hate that he calls me lazy I'm telling him it's the effects of the topamax am I bein wrong for feeling hateful towards his behavior

I'm sure that the time when your medicine is being adjusted is not the time to worry about judgements of what you have a right to feel or who is right or who is wrong...

seems like it is something that you just need to "hunker down" and ride out....

I wish you felt more supported by your family.

Hi Sweepy,

In the earlier times of my depression, my h did not understand how it affected me. He also thought I could do more than I really could. My suggestion is to stand your ground as far as what you can, and cannot, do. Don't let him push you into trying to do too much, and then crash. But also, try hard not to yell. Stay as calm as you can, but stick to your gunes. Let him know that you are doing all that you can right now, and that you must take care of yourself. Otherwise, you will not get well and be able to help anybody else in the family.

Stay calm. . .stay strong!

Thank you so much for your words of wisdom I made him watch a documentary on bipolar meds a side effects
