upcoming Sunday my t goes on a holiday for four weeks. Our therapy is very intensive, we have daily contact by phone messages and I see her once a week. In recent months I have had a number of crises, ended up in the hospital by sui attempts. Recent weeks it goes much better I have more structure and I'm more in control of my emotions and more in control of dissociating, I have DID.
Because it goes well and better my t thinks it will be good to go inpatient while she is on vacation. She arranged a place with structure and personal guidance a daily program but no intensive therapy. I have my doubts about it a little....why should I go?....now it goes better. My t says it is to support our therapeutic process and to prevent disruption. I've had an appointment at that clinic and it was positive. It only just feels weird to go when it goes well with me....and therefore I doubt now. It feels like I I should be able to do it by myself that I must be strong. It goes better so I think I can do it myself without therapeutic assistance. Bloem

Would you be there voluntarily? Could you leave any time you wanted? If so is it worth trying it just to see?

I would go with my therapist recommendation, because if you did have a crisis she will not be there to help you. Also, since you have been having daily contact with her, you might feel especially alone with her gone.

Yes, it is voluntary I can go whenever I want. Maybe I should try it and see what it brings. if I do not like it I can always leave.

Thank you for your response!
I trust my T, she has arranged a really good place for me. It is not a psychiatric hospital, because there I do not want to go again if it is not necessary. Bloem
