Has anyone of you had or come across this?

My T sometimes wears glasses in session but sometimes doesn't. Although I know she is the same person, she seems a different in that her personality seems different when she wears glasses and when she doesn't.

She actually seems to act different. She speaks more quickly and more assertive or more authoritarian without the glasses. With the glasses she speaks slowly and seems to care more.

When she doesn't wear glasses is when me and her and more to come into conflict. That's how it's always been.

Don't understand what this is and can't find anything about it.

If there is truly a difference to begin with is the big question. I do wonder if you have some negative experience with someone without glasses that makes you perceive her as acting differently.

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps when she doesn't wear glasses she has some sort of headache/migraine/sinus thing going on that makes her more off her game. When I don't feel well (migraines) I will take off my glasses. And I know I'm more snippy with people.
Thanks for this!

Yeah she does seem different. I'm not overthinking this. The sinus/headache thing may but true. She does tend to rub her eyes a lot when she isn't wearing glasses. She isn't wiping away tears. She does have a stuffed nose quite often so maybe you're onto something.

I think sometimes different kinds of clothing, glasses, etc. can bring out different aspects of a person. I have "capable" and "vulnerable" clothes and just putting them on kind of evokes different aspects of myself. It could be that for her... have you talked to her about it? Or it could be some kind of transference for you, or meaning you attach to glasses vs. no glasses. Almost like she can "see" you better with her glasses on.
