Yes I enjoy the break from the routine NOW. Must mean therapy is successful. :-)

I have always enjoyed the breaks - whether induced by me or the therapist.
Glad you are well with it.

I enjoy the breaks we have from time to time. No need to go in if there is really no need to go in, and fortunately life becomes actually rather "normal" every now and then. Love that. Haven't seen T since early June, and life has NOT been "normal", but it has really been okay not going in to see him. I'll finally go in next week, and I'm looking forward to it, but I suspect we'll be on an every other week or so basis as things are okay right now.

Yes, the opportunity to poke one's meerkat head up and look around instead of focusing so hard on therapy is a welcome relief sometimes. I know it's food but eating all those scorpions. . .

I've been totally pondering an extended break from therapy. There's so many things i want to do but can't because all my money goes on therapy. And it's hard being on the therapy treadmill for months/years at a time.

Glad your break is going well x

I'm glad that you are doing so well. Hopefully this will be a confidence booster, to help you know that you can do it on your own. Because as we all know, our t's won't be there forever.

I'm glad that you're doing so well! I'm on a three-week break. After that, I plan to see at on an "as-needed" basis.

You are starting your training this year too, is personal therapy a requirement?
I need 50 hours over the three years I have already done about 300 but that doesn't count.

Ha! I know how you feel! My therapy now still doesn't count! I have to do 30 weeks of weekly therapy (I mean reasonable absences allowed), BUT this has to overlap with my first practicum, which, at my pace with working full time, won't be for two years. I already told T that I want to do this with her. I really don't want to start all over with someone else...and I'd rather discuss issues brought up with me counseling others with my current T, who I find to be excellent. Still, I wish I could count previous therapy or now--you too, ha! Best of luck to you!
