A nod to the classic Saturday morning TV Show H.R. Puff N' Stuff.
For the first time I left my therapists office in a 'huff' at my last session. I've been a client for over two years and I normally exit his office with a smile and I say to him 'Have a super week". However, this past session left me feeling a bit miffed. Which, I guess is normal in therapy. I usually contain my feelings and always leave with a smile. The reason for this is I want my therapist to remember me fondly. We clashed during the end of the session and it left me feeling irritated, hence the huffiness. I didn't even say goodbye to him. It will be interesting what the next session brings... Maybe I should change my name to "Witchie-poo" ![]() |

Loved that show, even though, I was an adult. I watched every Saturday. Good memory.
I'm sure you are probably not the only person who has left in a huff before. But I would suggest writing about what happened and why you were huffy. This way you can go in prepared to discuss the real issue and why you got huffy. Good luck.

Hi Bunnylove! You're usually so nice to T, that this must feel weird to not leave with your usual smile. It must've been your T's fault for irritating you. You'll let him know next time, right? Let us know how it goes!

In the 4 years that I saw my pervious Therapist, I can only remember her huffing once.
I almost always left my Therapy sessions with her on a good note however. |

I never tell the therapist good bye. I get up when the clock shows the end of the appointment time, put money on the table and walk out.
Therapists don't seem to care one way or the other if a client is huffy when they leave, in my experience. Sometimes I have seen that they even enjoy it.

![]() He tends to be very closed and conservative and I have a very difficult time trying to read him. Which in fact, led to my huff attitude! |

Or maybe he didn't even notice my less than desirable exit. I'm sure his mind is filled with so many clients etc. that my "exit stage left' didn't affect him. Yes I am very nice and attentive to my therapist! ![]() |

I think it was when I asked her something and she struggled to find a good answer.
