Why is it that i struggle to fully open in a session? Why cant i talk face to face about everything. And then i regret it because i know i need the help. I would rather write it but cant read it back then. I hate being confronted about my pain. That makes me more alone than ever before

Have you ever fully opened up before? Maybe it is a skill that you're working on building. That's the case for me right now. I am apparently a very slow learner.
Thanks for this!

I write the things I can't say and when I can't read them I just hand it over. My doctor and therapist reads my letters. It's a way of communicating too. For me writing feels safer.
Thanks for this!

You learn it slowly, over time, with patience.

Write, write, write! I've even texted with T IN session before, because I couldn't bring myself to speak! It was easier to text it even though T was sitting right across from me.

I've often journaled and then brought that in with me to give T to read. A lot easier when we started, but still something I do three years in.

I have been going to him for an year and a half. And do not feel if any progress have been made. Why do we have to suffer like this?

Maybe you need to revise your idea of what progress looks like?

I hear you, though. It frustrates me utterly that I can't just GO IN AND TALK damn it.
