Hi! I'm Leanna

I'm a child sexual abuse survivor and I've recently started my healing journey. I'm very optimistic and committed to reach my fullest potential.

I'm about to finish a short term therapy plan and about to switch counselors and start going into long term treatment. I've had a great experience with my current therapist. Do you guys have any suggestions or tips for a termination session?

No real tips because I have utilized the cut and run technique up to this point in my life, but I wanted to say welcome to the forum! Hope to hear more about your journey.

I don't have any suggestions either. I had only one counselor until I moved and found a new. He is nice but I don't see him right now due to $$$

I will say it was hard to leave my other counselor. She was the greatest I'm not sure we had a closure session because I had to leave very suddenly. We did have a few phone calls right after I left to make sure I was okay. I still miss her. But i had seen for many years.

to PC.

Make sure that you say/share whatever is most important to you. The hardest thing about switching therapists/terminating is that sometimes you don't get the chance to say everything you want to. Think about what you want to get from the session and what is most important for you to say.
