After the recent debacle with my last Therapist (and with the practice in general) I am seriously considering going back to my previous Therapist and paying all out of pocket even if it is only to meet once a month (which is probably all I can afford). From what I remember the price to see her without any Insurance is $75 (I remember that I had to do that once when I was in-between Insurance plans) so I might be able to do that if we only meet once a month. I feel like the chemistry between us was so strong and I am unlikely to find that anywhere else. So I was wondering if any of you people have ever stopped seeing a Therapist only to return and see them again later on.

Although after taking a quick look at the Practice's website I did not see her name listed so I guess it is possible that she is no longer there.
Thanks for this!

Yes several times my long term T whom I've known since 15 has seen me come and go quite a lot. Even after two more Ts everything leads back to her. She's like my master T we go way back. Speaking of which I set an appt. to see her in two weeks even though I'm transferring to a new therapist closer to me.

She can read me like an open book and has always been there from the beginning.

Well out of curiosity I just called the phone number for the practice and tried to dial in by name and it said that nothing could be found, so it is looking likely that she is no longer there.

I don't, I know she has a Facebook page (although I don't think she knows that I know that) and I guess I could send her a message there (maybe even paying $1 to make sure that it goes to her Inbox) but then I run the risk of having her be furious at me for having found her Facebook page.

Sorry to hear that. Have you googled her to see if she's practicing somewhere else?

In doing some further research it appears as if she might be studying for her Doctorate in Psychology right now so maybe she is taking some time off to focus on that, although you know that the cost to see her will just rise after she gets her Doctorate (especially without any insurance).
