I've had 2 therapist and 2 pdocs.

are psychologist just therapist with higher degrees? What can I expect?

Are therapists with phd's, you'll probably be re evaluated before you start actual therapy less to do with dx more to do with what 'style' of therapy to start with.

psychologists have PhDs whereas many psychotherapists have masters degrees like a MFT or MSW. so, they have more schooling and training. it may or may not be terribly different from the other Ts you've seen depending on what type of therapeutic orientation they practice.
