My t and I have a great relationship and we are open with each other, she calls me out when needed, she is gently blunt when needed, she challenges, my thinking. Lately I hve been wanting more, I have been wanting her to be more challenging, more blunt, without all the gentleness, I dont know why, but I want her to show me some anger towards me like tell me , why the $#@#$ arent you showing emotion sweepy? Or why the #$#//didnt you stop or tell about your csa when you were a kid?

Sometimes I want her to just yell at me and tell me why did you wait so $#@#$ long to start therapy? Things like that, instead of sitting there and being so compassionate, it gets me so angry sometimes.

Perhaps because you feel that way, you feel that anger at yourself, so you project it onto her and want her to tell you that, echo your inner feelings. Sometimes it's hard to face our own emotions. Also, if she said that you'd have a reason to push the T away and to not go any further. I think it may be a combination of the two.
