My T told me I could email and text so on Monday I canceled my appointment via text message. I was having one of "those days". I never got a response or anything. In my head I'm thinking she would rather not see me if I'm not even getting an acknowledgement of my text message.

I suggest you call and see. Sometimes text messages may not go through, or may get overlooked more easily than phone calls. Or, some therapists are really conscientious about not pushing clients and let the client take the initiative to return and reschedule when they are ready, so there is no pressure.

((((((Cita))))) i think leah made good suggestions there; text messages and emails both have the problem of not always being reliable

I think they could at least acknowledge they got your cancellation. Please don't think they would rather not see you, I think it is more about your t- maybe they were busy or meant to reply later but forgot.
Leah is right when she said t's don't push clients and wait for you to contact ehm again. |
