Here is a brief descreption if you have not read my previous post:
I have csa history. Every year since I can remember I have great fear on new years eve, starting the day before. The whole countdown thing and the hours leading up to it put me in a state of frenzy, scared, cold, impending doom, feeling I need to hide, feeling someone is going to hurt me , nauseus, crying, anxiety, pain in parts of my body, I cant mention.

All these symptoms are on and off throughout the day, but get worse as the midnight hour approaches. As a child all I rememember is my parents giving me alcohol and telling me I could not be up for new years eve. From age 7. Also feel a heavyness on me. Its so not logical.

todays session:

My t suspects it might be something from my past. She made up a safety plan because I dont feel safe, she will also call me on new years eve and crisis will call me as well. She said she wished she was trained in emdr,

Sweepy I am glad you told T about your New Years Eve stuff. I hope that the calls from T and the crisis team leave you feeling a bit more safe and less alone with it all.

I too dread NYE, have been in crisis more than once. I'm meeting with T that day.
Thanks for reminding me that i should have a safety plan. Sounds like you have the support You need in place . We will get through it. Stay strong.
