I just had my first session with my new Therapist and I am happy to say that it went very well. I won't be seeing her again until early February because she is not in the office next week and is booked up the following week, but I was able to schedule sessions for all of February (all Monday sessions for that month) so at least I am able to get the ball rolling, I really look forward to working with with her. I did talk some about boundaries and she did tell me that she agrees with me that it is a more flexible line than a solid one, I didn't get into gatherings that she would likely disagree with me on (mainly intimate gatherings) but I just told her that there are situations that are highly unlikely to ever occur so they are just not worth getting into (and they really aren't). I told her that I would like the sessions to be more open forum and she agreed with me. She even said that she would be open to having my parents come to certain sessions and I told her that I would think about doing that. I didn't get into touch at all but I said that I would when I think that the conditions were appropriate. She also seems like a good match age wise, while she didn't tell me her exact age she did say that she was more than 2 years older than me (and I can pretty safely assume less than 15 which was my cut off). Overall she looks like a pretty good match for me.

Again thanks for all of the support on here over the last few months, it really helped me get through everything.

Glad it went well and you guys seem to agree on some important issues.
