I'm in somewhat of a dilemma. You see, there are a few things I need to buy, and I need to get them soon before they become out of stock. Right now they are of more importance then the therapy. The problem I've got is, once these items are bought, I'm concerned I might regret the decision of terminating the therapy.

Having sorted my money out. Would take me 2 or 3 months before I could go back to therapy if I decided I needed it again.

But I don't like the idea of terminating with this T and then coming back a few months later as it seems like I can't let go. Getting a new T is out of the question because I can't be bothered explaining my life story again, which would take between 10-20 session.

Right now I'm of the thought I don't need therapy. But my mind can change on these things quite quickly.

Why are these things so essential? Could you wait several months to buy them?

What about taking a break or going less often - like once a month -rather than out right ending?

Some of these thing might not be around in a few months. The others I'm too impatient. No way could I wait several months.

hi. u used the word "bothered" which seems to me u think is pointless therefore doesnt seem u want to be in therapy right now. maybe take a break and evaluate ur reasons to be in therapy and ur commitment to it. tc

Guess it depends- what do you think you need more? For me there are very few things that would be more important (like rent, some food, vet for my dog) but this could be different for you. If you really could benefit from buying those more, go for it.
Sucks having to make this decisions in the first place :/

There is almost nothing that is more valuable to me than therapy. Make your own decision, but I would regret it if I was you.

Well for one, I wouldn't make a choice without thinking it through, alot. Even more so when you said your mind can change on these things quickly. Secondly, do you really 'need' these items? Are they something that you 'want' or something that you really do 'need'?

Only you can make the choice on what to do. We can only give advice. I've seen people on here thinking that they are done with therapy only to find out that they still need it. Since it's 2 to 3 months of no therapy, you really need to evaluate the pros and cons of this decision as once it's made, it's made and theres no going back.

Therapy is a deliberate choice that you back up with all of you for as long as it takes or it's usually not worth it/doesn't "work" well. It is a little bit like skipping school because you cannot be bothered to go and do the work, have "better" things to do than ensure you have a future that works out as well for you as you can make it.

You can always terminate therapy and see how it goes. Consider it an experiment in whether it's time. If months go by and you feel that you need to go back, you certainly can.
