I wonder am I alone when this happens, or is it fairly normal?
I can't stop shivering and shaking after talking about trauma

I get cold and shake when extremely anxious. Usually I can hide it.

I do that a lot. I thought I was the only one who did that! Sometimes I wonder if T notices or not because I'm pretty good at keeping my voice calm even if my body is shaking. Does your T notice?

Yes she notices and the last time was really bad, she said I went into shock. She put her hand on my head and the other hand in my back and rubbed and soothed me till I was better.
Your t has never said to you, or asked if you were ok?

No. Which is probably why I think she doesn't notice.

Awh, I am sorry! Maybe you should mention that you are shivering next time?

I would be embarrassed to call attention to it. And in those really vulnerable moments I think I'd get sucked into wanting her to take of me and comfort me, which I know she won't because she doesn't. Better to just deal with it myself.

I don't get cold or "shiver", but I do get shaky when my anxiety is that high. I hide it fairly well but there are times when it's really intense in session where my legs are shaking and she is next to me and I'm sure she notices.

Yes, but I think I hide it ok. Probably would help if I let him know though /: I have experienced it a lot outside of therapy most recently, I imagine because we have been talking more about my past. I have nightmares where I wake up with a shock going through my body. Not sure if that's the same thing though...

yes i shake, but i don't think it's always noticeable. But i get really hot like a flush, never cold. My T did notice the other day my hands were shaking and asked if i knew why and just said to let my body do what it needed.

The worst session I ever had with my former T, I wasn't even aware I was cold until I went to the bathroom after the session and started shivering and shaking uncontrollably.

I've had this happen many times. Both of my Ts have noticed. Both have said to sit with my feelings. Almost feels like a panic attack.
