I just started therapy a week and a half ago, so I've had only one session so far. I told her what meds I'm taking and now I'm almost out. I'm taking Pristiq but I don't think its working anymore. Should I ask her about it or my GP?

I'm not really sure what to do about frequency of sessions either, she asked how often I wanted to do them and I told her every other week because once a week might be too much on my checkbook. I've been so stressed out and ready to give up. My depression is really hitting me hard.

are you talking about a psychiatrist (somebody with right to prescribe)? I don't think a T can really help you the meds as such.

Hi
You should see your gp before you run out. I think certain antidepressants can take up to several weeks to start giving you the 'good' s/e. I hope you feel better:}

My GP prescribes my meds and I've been on meds for almost three years. I was wondering if I should talk to my T to see if she recommends changing meds or adding meds.

Your T isn't trained in medication prescription. You need to see a psychiatrist. It sounds like the meds you're on aren't working.
