I think its called detachment, I know I dissociate sometimes, but I may be lying down reading, and suddenly , my legs feel like they have totally detached completely from my body, and they are now seperate, I dont feel them, Not numb, they are just not there.
I see them, but dont feel them, I become a little fuzzy, Its such a strange feeling, I become light like a piece of paper.

These are all pieces of depersonalization, a form of dissociation.

I actually detach completely from my body. When I dissociate, I see everything from a 3rd person perspective from up in a high corner of the room (I know, odd). I'm not in my body at all. That was how I survived the abuse when I was very little; I actually remember it that way. It's interesting the different ways dissociation manifests, isn't it?

Yes! Last week I was at work walking around and my entire body did that numb tingling feel it does when say ur foot falls asleep.
