Found out today that or couples therapist is leaving the agency at the end of the month. We were hoping to have her support through this whole housing upheaval. :/
Hope I don't go in to my individual t tomorrow and find out something similar. Wife's losing her individual t as well as or couples t. This should be a fun several weeks ![]() ![]() |

Is your Couples therapist leaving the area as well? Any possibility you could still see him/her?
It's awful that these changes have to be happening now but not unusual for changes to happen in the course of therapy. I've had to change therapists three times in the past 2 years and that's maddening--but I made sure the current one always had contact with the new one before leaving, to make sure that the next was up date with what we were doing. Usually you need to sign permission papers allowing the new T to access previous T notes.

She will be in the area, but not seeing individual clients. She got a job working in a hospital. We are moving across the country in a few months. My wife leaves in may, but I won't follow till about August. It will be difficult to go through all that with such limited support. I dunno. Whatever. **** happens, right.
I'm sorry you had to change therapists do many times in such a short span. That would drive me crazy... course, I'm not so great with change and it taKes me forever to trust a therapist. |
