But here's the topic. I've made Madame T my universal scapegoat. Whenever I'm feeling down and don't know why, I start obsessing about her crimes. Before Madame T, my mother filled that role.

Do you want to have a scapegoat in your life in this way? It isn't my thing, but you aren't hurting her (unless you're calling her up and telling her these things) and perhaps this scapegoating serves a purpose for you.

If you don't want to engage in this mental process any more, that's a different manner. Like all things, I believe, it can be changed if you want it.
